Lingual Braces

The only truly invisible brace is one on the inside of your teeth.  If the thought of fixed metal braces on the outside of your teeth literally sets your teeth on edge or you know that you would find it hard sticking to the regime with removable appliances such as the Inman aligner or invisalign, then lingual braces could be the solution for you.

STB Social 6

One of the systems we use is the STb social 6- Light Lingual System. This system is ideal for minor to moderate crowding or spacing affecting the front 6 teeth and typically takes only 6-16 weeks to achieve the desired results. The STb Light Lingual System utilises a new passive ligation design that dramatically reduces friction. Low friction and light forces have been shown to move teeth with exceptional efficiency.

The main benefits of this system are:

  • Treats any case of minor to moderate anterior crowding or spacing with maximum control and no compliance issues
  • Thanks to passive self-ligation and light hi-tech wires, friction is dramatically reduced and treatment time accelerated
  • Most cases finish in less than 16 weeks
  • Due to the small brackets this system is more comfortable than traditional lingual orthodontics

The Procedure

  • Lingual Braces are fitted to the inside of the teeth.
  • They still move the teeth into the desired position and they are far less visible than traditional braces.
